Where were you born and when/ how did you end up in our area?

Roanoke VA,  I visited the Myrtle Beach area almost every summer as a child with my family growing up.  We mostly camped in the Myrtle Beach area.  I always loved beach as a child but never really thought I would make a life here.  My older sister attended CCU ( Back when it was USC Coastal), initially living in the Myrtle beach area and eventually migrated South to Pawleys.  After my first year of College in NC, I was lucky to move to the Beach sharing an apartment with my sister and friends and by the end of that first Summer, I was calling the beaches of South Carolina “Home”.  Upon returning here after college I came back to the Pawleys Island area where eventually married and raised my two daughters.  I have moved away a couple times since, but have always come back and consider this my “Happy Place”

One thing about you that others might find interesting?

My favorite past time is painting, mostly acrylics,  using recycled or upcycled materials.
